Cricketer Mahipatrao Indulkar passes away

Kolhapur, Nov 25 (UNI) Veteran cricketer Mahipatrao Shankarrao Indulkar passed away due to old age at his residence in the city's Tarabai park area.

The 91-year-old Mahipatro died last evening. He is survived by his wife, four sons and a daughter.

Mahipatrao led Baroda Maharaj Pratapsingh Ranaji team from 1942 to 1952 and played for the Mumbai Vidhyapeet team.

He figured in one of the Ranji matches for the Maharashtra team.

He was closely associated with the Kolhapur Sports Association (KSA) and Kolhapur District Cricket Association.
