Cricket fans express anger; want Ganguly to lead

Jamshedpur, Mar 18 (UNI) Joining with the protests by the cricket fans in many parts of the country, the enraged cricket lovers here took to the streets and burnt effigies of Indian players today following India's shock defeat over minnows Bangladesh in their world cup opener.

The fans shouted slogans against team India players for their poor show and asked the BCCI to call back the team.

They also demanded sacking of Rahul Dravid from captaincy and reinstating Sourav Ganguly as the captain of team India.

The fans were particularly angry with the performance of star wicket keeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni and burnt his effigy.

The Jharkhand player was out for nought in yesterday's match.
