Cricket fan detained

Jamshedpur, Mar 17 (UNI) Police today detained a cricket fan, who threatend to commit suicide if he was not allowed to sell his kidney for money to go to the Caribbean to cheer for Indian team.

Sarun Sharma, a die-hard cricket fan, was picked up from Sakchi area in this steel city here tonight by the police, apprehending he might take a fatal step as he failed to go to the West Indies to watch the India's inaugural match against Bangladesh today.

Police said Sharma was detained at Sakchi police station and would be released on personal bond.

Police said Sharma was upset for not getting an opportunity to sell his kidney and unable to make a trip to the Caribbean.
