"Can I Get a Photo?": 5x Champion Left Awestruck by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Jaipur Masterclass

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's remarkable IPL 2026 campaign earned another high-profile admirer on Tuesday night, with Lucknow Super Giants head coach Justin Langer stopping the Rajasthan Royals youngster after the match to ask for a photograph following his stunning innings in Jaipur.

The 15-year-old continued his breakout season with a breathtaking 93 off just 38 balls against LSG, powering Rajasthan Royals to a crucial victory in their playoff push. But the most memorable moment of the evening came after the match had ended.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

While Sooryavanshi was filming a routine post-match IPL interview on the outfield at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Langer walked into the frame with a simple request.

"Can I get a photo, please?" the former Australia opener asked.

The teenager happily obliged before Langer delivered a heartfelt message.

"I am going to treasure that photo. Good luck for your career. Go well," he said before leaving.

The interaction quickly went viral, perfectly capturing the impact Sooryavanshi has had on the cricketing world this season. One of the most respected figures in Australian cricket was left asking a teenager for a souvenir after watching another innings of fearless strokeplay.

"It's a privilege to watch Vaibhav Sooryavanshi bat"

Speaking after the match, Langer admitted he was struggling to find words to describe what the young opener has produced throughout the tournament.

"We've seen it all season. He's the leading run-scorer," Langer said.

"In all my time, I've seen some amazing players in 35 years of cricket. To see a young man bat like that, not just tonight but throughout the series, is breathtaking."

Langer pointed to the reactions of some of world cricket's most feared fast bowlers as evidence of the youngster's extraordinary talent.

"I think the last game, Mitchell Starc, who's one of the all-time great white-ball bowlers, he's bowling and look at the expression on his face," Langer said.

"And Anrich Nortje, who's a world-class international bowler, and Sooryavanshi is hitting him. The expression on their faces is like, 'What is happening here?'"

The Australian believes the most exciting aspect is that Sooryavanshi is still developing his game.

"The scary thing going forward is, if the expressions on the faces of Mitch Starc and Nortje tell a story now, what about when he learns how to bat?" Langer added.

"My gosh, he's so young. He's a brilliant, brilliant player. It's a real privilege to watch him bat."

A more mature innings from Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

While Sooryavanshi has built a reputation for explosive starts and fearless ball-striking, Rajasthan Royals stand-in captain Yashasvi Jaiswal highlighted another side of his game against LSG.

The teenager started cautiously before accelerating through the middle overs, showing greater awareness of match situations than in previous outings.

"He was five off 11 balls or something like that," Jaiswal said after the match.

"But he took his time. Then he played that first big shot off Mayank over covers. That gave us a sense that he understands the game at a deeper level and knows when to shift gears."

The innings ultimately ended seven runs short of a century, but it further strengthened Sooryavanshi's position as one of the stories of IPL 2026.

For Langer, it was enough to leave Jaipur with more than just concerns about his team's bowling attack. He left with a photograph alongside a teenager many already believe could become one of Indian cricket's biggest stars.
