Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 Stats: Ashwin & Lyon to Khawaja & Kohli - Top Performers of IND vs AUS Series

The final Test ended in a draw, but India beat Australia 2-1 in the four-match series to win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 and also retain the trophy for the third successive season.
After the first three Tests saw close contests on spinning tracks, the final Test on a flat track in Ahmedabad ended in a draw. The first three Test also ended within three days of play.
India opened the series with a thumping innings and 132 runs at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur and followed that with a 6-wicket win at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
Australia, however, bounced back with spin of their own and registered a 9-wicket win in the third Test at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore to seal their WTC Final, where they will once again face India at the Kennington Oval in London from June 7-11.
The 2023 season was dominated by bowling especially spinners with only a few batters managing to get runs under their belt as the bowlers had the last laugh in three of the four Tests.
Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Nathan Lyon, Matthew Kuhnemann and Todd Murphy had a big say with their deliveries on testing tracks for batters in the first three Tests.
Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Cameron Green and Usman Khawaja scored hundreds during the series as most batters, including Steve Smith, failed to handle spin.
