Bengal skipper Dasgupta penalised for slow over-rate in Ranji final

Mumbai, Feb 7 (UNI) Bengal cricket team captain Deep Dasgupta has been penalised for two one-day matches for his team's slow over-rate in the Ranji Trophy final against Mumbai which concluded here on Monday.

A release issued by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today stated that Deep Dasgupta will have to miss his team's first two East Zone one-day league games against Assam and Tripura.

Dasgupta has also been fined ten per cent of his match fees while his teammates have copped a 50 per cent fine for the slow over rate of Bengal. This has been the fourth time this season that Bengal had been involved in slow over-rate, including the semi-final against Karnataka, the release added.
