Australia win toss, elect to bat
St George's, Grenada, Apr 20 (UNI) Australia skipper Ricky Ponting won the toss and elected to bat against New Zealand in their last Super Eight league match of the cricket World Cup here today.
There was a bit of drama before the toss as New Zealand made a dramatic change in their list at the last moment replacing their spearhead Shane Bond and brought in Mark Gillespie.
The Kiwis also rested all-rounder Jacom Oram saying he was not fully fit.
However, there was good news for the Australians as their star player Shane Watson was named in the playing XI as he had recoverd from his injury.
