Annual meet of Ranji captains, coaches with BCCI on April 20

Mumbai, Apr 10 (UNI) The annual conclave of the Ranji Trophy captains and coaches with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials headed by President Sharad Pawar will be held here on April 20.

The meeting, convened to discuss and invite suggestions to improve the standard of senior domestic cricket, will be attended by the BCCI's Technical Committee Chairman Sunil Gavaskar, a media release from Board Secretary Niranjan Shah said here today.

The board had decided to revamp Ranji Trophy at its Working Committee meeting last week by reducing the number of Elite Division teams from 15 to ten from the 2008-09 season and this is expected to be a hot topic of discussion at the meeting.
