Anil Kumble to lead Karnataka Ranji team

Bangalore, Oct 29 (UNI) Ace India leg spinner Anil Kumble will lead six time champions Karnataka in the Ranji trophy cricket championship this season.

Former team India captain Rahul Dravid was also named in the squad which Karnataka State Cricket Association(KSCA) named here today.

The team will take on reigning champions Mumbai on November three in their first outing, an away match. The squad which had a 20-day training camp at Mysore Infosys grounds, will leave for Mumbai on November one.

Following is the team: Anil Kumble (captain), Rahul Dravid, Rowland Barrington, K P Pavan, Yere Goud (vice-capt), C Raghu, V S Tilak Naidu, B Akhil, B Sunil Joshi, R Vinay Kumar, N C Aiyappa, Sudhinder Shinde, Devraj Patel, K P Appanna, S Dhananjaya.

Coach: Vijay Bharadwaj, Manager: Sudhakar Rao, Physio: V Muthukumar.
