Anil Kumble is Team India's new Head Coach: Virat Kohli to Virender Sehwag congratulate 'Jumbo'
New Delhi, June 23: Social media on Thursday (June 23) congratulated former India captain Anil Kumble after he was appointed as India's new Head Coach for a period of 1 year, by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The 45-year-old Kumble, India's highest wicket-taker (3rd in the world) in Tests with 619 scalps and one of the respected voices in the cricket world, got the nod over Ravi Shastri and other 20 candidates.

'Jumbo' Kumble's first assignment will be the tour of the Caribbean where India play 4 Tests from next month (July) against the West Indies.
Speaking about the new responsibility and upcoming challenges he faces, Kumble said, "It's a huge responsibility, ready to take this role. Coaches come later, it's always players first. Strategy will be to win."
