Ailing Flintoff turns up for training
ST PHILIP, Barbados, Apr 15 (Reuters) England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff turned up for training today despite fresh health worries ahead of next week's crucial World Cup Super Eights match against South Africa.
''We'll have to check with the doctors but he is here (in training),'' an England spokesman said during the team's practice session at the Windward Cricket Club.
The spokesman added Flintoff had tests for glandular fever but the results came back clear.
Flintoff has had a troubled World Cup as he was fined and stripped of the vice-captaincy after a late night drinking session during the group phase of the tournament.
He was also unwell last month and twisted his ankle during a second-stage match against Ireland but none of his health concerns have stopped him from playing in matches. England take on South Africa at the Kensington Oval on Tuesday with both teams still in contention for a semi-final berth.
