4 arrested for betting on cricket match in UP

Muzaffarnagar, March 28: Four persons have been arrested for allegedly betting on India versus Australia ICC World T20 cricket match in Naya Bazar locality in Shamli district.

Acting on a tip off, police raided a house last night and arrested the accused, Circle Officer Nishank Sharma said.

Police also seized six mobile phones, documents and some cash from their possession, the CO said. They have been booked under Gambling Act, he said.
