UPBA announces senior badminton team

Lucknow, Sep 16 (UNI) Ravinder Singh of Lucknow will lead the Uttar Pradesh Senior Badminton team in the forthcoming East Zone Inter- State championship to be held in Kolkata from September 29 to October 1.

Uttar Pradesh Badminton Association (UPBA) senior selection committee chairperson Sushil Gupta this evening announced the teams for the Rahmatullah Cup for Men and Chaddha Cup for women categories.

The other members of the team are Men -- Anurag Sharma, Mehfooz Ahmad (Allahabad), Prashant Kumar, Nishant Prakash Sinha, T S Bisht (Lucknow) and D B Thapa (Bareilly).

For women, Sara Naqvi (Bareilly), Neha Verma (Allahabad), Saloni Jain (Pilibhit), Nida Asmat (Lucknow) and Bhawna Singh (Gorakhpur).

Sanjeet Pradhan of Gorakhpur and Rajesh Verma of Lucknow will act as Manager and coach respectively.
