Shyam, Hubert bag Badminton veteran titles

Visakhapatnam, Mar 11 (UNI) Gujarat top seed and defending champion Shyam Paradeshi won the the '45 Plus' vetern men's singles title for the fifth consecutive time and Hubert Mirianda of Maharashtra bagged the '55 Plus' men's single finals in the National Veterans Badminton Championships here today.

In the women's 35-plus' singles finals, Manjusha Saharabudhe of Maharashtra beat Radhika of Andhra Pradesh, 21-8, 21-8.

Brief results: Men's 45-plus singles: Shyam Paradesi (Guj) bt K P V K Kumar (Kar) 21-23, 21-14, 21-19.

Mens's 55-plus singles: Hubert Miranda (Mah) bt Dr K Raghaviah (AP) 21-12, 21-9.

Men's doubles 45-Plus) K A Roy and Johan of Matha (Ker) and Jayram Pai and K P V Kumar (Kar) retired 6-5.
