Senior Badminton players warned by BAI

Hyderabad, Apr 5 (UNI) Badminton Association of India (BAI) has warned senior players against skipping coaching camps.

President BAI V K Verma held discussions with the senior players and Indian Coach Pullela Gopichand here in this connection.

He said the players have to attend the six-week camp without fail.

He cited the example of top cricketers attending the camps and practice matches before the World Cup.

He said players who made their own arrangements for participating in the super series were advised to withdraw from the tournaments.

In view of major tournaments BAI has asked the senior players to focus on the camp.
