Hyderabad, Aug 22: Only Indian woman to win a silver medal at Olympic Games, PV Sindhu is finally back home from Rio de Janeiro after scripting history. [Sindhu returns home to a grand welcome in Hyderabad]
Sindhu, 21, bettered Saina Nehwal's London Olympics 2012 performance this year at Rio. Saina had bagged the bronze medal in 2012 in the Women's singles badminton category.
Now as the greatest sporting extravaganza is finally over, India's new found superstar is back home. She reached Hyderabad today (August 22) morning along with her coach and Indian badminton legend Pullela Gopichand.
Sindhu and Gopichand were honoured at the Gachibowli staidum as a mark of respect for the ace shuttler.
