Parmar elected president of HP Badminton Association

Shimla, June 17 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Secretary S S Parmar has been elected president of the H P Badminton Association (HPBA), along with 21 other members, for the next four-year term.

Mr Parmar was elected president of the association at its annual general meeting (AGM) held in Solan district of the state.

The association elected a senior vice president BD Thakur, advisor R S Randhawa and six vice presidents --OP Sharma, Ramesh Thakur, Vijay Kachroo, Gopal Sharma, Parvesh Sharma and Susheel Rana.

The other office bearers were honorary secretary Chunni Lal, honorary joint secretary OP Verma, honorary treasurer Sohan Singh Verma and assistant secretaries Chander Shekhar Turki and Pankaj Sharma.

It also elected eight executive secretaries--P C Verma, OP Sharma, Pawan Bhardwaj, Sanjay Kalia, Kailash Prashar, B S Bhatia, Ashok Angra and Ishwari Prasad, an association release said here.
