Indian Shuttler Sameer Verma loses at Hong Kong Open Final

Hong Kong, Nov 27: Indian shuttler Sameer Verma lost to local player Ng Ka Long Angus in the final of the Hong Kong Open tournament here on Sunday.

Verma, who defeated Jan O Jorgensen of Denmark in the semi-final match, was beaten by the Hong Kong player 14-21, 10-21, 11-21 at the Hong kong Coliseum - 1.

Angus took the first set comfortably from Verma winning it 21-14. The Indian came back strongly in the second set and dominated the proceedings.

He won 21-10 rising the hopes of his fans. Unfortunately, the eventual winner proved to strong for Sameer as he won the third set 21-11 to bag the title.
