CM sanctions Rs 20 lakh cash award to Saina Nehwal

Hyderabad, Sep 17 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today sanctioned Rs 20 lakh cash award to badminton star Saina Nehwal, who won the Grand Prix Gold Championship.

The Chief Minister congratulated Saina for her sterling performance and becoming the only Indian woman to bag two Grand Prix titles, according to an official release.

The Hyderabadi ace was also awarded Rs 5 lakh for participating in the recently concluded Olympics, the release added.

The Chief Minister hoped that Saina would achieve more laurels in the days to come.
