Chipalkati Memorial All India Ranking Badminton Championship

Pune, Nov 6 (UNI) Laxmi Krida Mandir, pioneers in promoting juniors, is celebrating its silver jubilee in association with Chipalkati Memorial Trust by organising the ninth edition of the 'Chipalkati Memorial All India Ranking Badminton Championship', getting underway at the WIE sports complex here from November 24 to 28.

Tournament secretary V P Deshvandikar stated in a press release today that the prestigious ranking tournament for juniors will offer an enhanced total prize money of Rs 2,00,000.

The meet assumes importance as it would be considered for the all india ranking of the players.

The competition will be held for boys and girls under the age of 13,16 and 19 in singles and doubles respectively. Depending on the number of entries, the qualifying rounds will be played on November 24 and 25. The last date for acceptance of entries is November 17.
