Badminton-Lin Dan to lead strong China squad at Sudirman Cup

BEIJING, May 31 (Reuters) World number ones Lin Dan and Zhang Ning will lead a full-strength China squad at next month's Sudirman Cup mixed team tournament in Scotland, the Chinese Badminton Association (CBA) said.

The defending champions and top seeds will be able to call on the world's top two men, leading three women and the number one ranked pairs in women's and men's doubles when they meet fourth seeds Malaysia, England and Thailand in the group stage.

''The overall power of Malaysia is not able to threaten China, so we will have no problem in getting past the group stage,'' head coach Li Yongbo told the official CBA Web site.

''Our target is to play our best at the Sudirman Cup and retain the title.'' The tournament will be held at the Scotstoun International Sports Arena in Glasgow from June 11-17.
