Commentary
Sunrisers Hyderabad held on to their nerves as they defeated Mumbai Indians by a narrow 3-run margin at the Wankhede Stadium.
With this win, SRH have ended the five-match losing streak and ensured they stay in the playoffs hunt and live to fight another day. However, their fate isn't completely in their hands.
Credit for SRH's victory goes to their bowlers Umran Malik (3/23) and Bhuveshwar Kumar (1/26) as they bowled tight lines at the back end of the innings. The late exploits from Tim David (46 off 18) brought MI tantalisingly close to the win but his unfortunate run out in the 18th over proved fatal.
Bhuvneshwar then bowled a wicket maiden 19th over to help SRH had plenty to defend in the final over.
Put in to bat first, the Kane Williamson-led side posted a decent 193 for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Rahul Tripathi emerged as the top scorer for the Sunrisers as the talented right-handed batsman from Pune scored a brilliant 76 off 44 balls. The right-handed batter along with Priyam Garg - who opened the innings for SRH in his first appearance in IPL 2022 - and Nicholas Pooran helped their team post a decent total which their bowlers successfully defended.

The MI under Rohit Sharma have already been eliminated from the play-offs races and they can play for pride.
But the Kane Williamson led SRH will face a rather more stern situation as a defeat will certainly end their IPL 2022 ride as far the play-offs race is concerned.
So, the SRH will have to buck the trend of five defeats in a row and get back to the winning ways.
The MI might have been out of IPL 2022 but they are still a competitive outfit evidenced by their victory in the previous match against the Chennai Super Kings.
Probable Playing XI:
Mumbai Indians: 1 Rohit Sharma (captain), 2 Ishan Kishan (wk), 3 Ramandeep Singh, 4 Tilak Varma, 5 Tim David, 6 Tristan Stubbs / Kieron Pollard / Dewald Brevis, 7 Daniel Sams, 8 Murugan Ashwin / Hrithik Shokeen, 9 Kumar Kartikeya, 10 Jasprit Bumrah, 11 Riley Meredith.
Sunrisers Hyderabad: 1 Kane Williamson (captain), 2 Abhishek Sharma, 3 Rahul Tripathi, 4 Aiden Markram, 5 Nicholas Pooran (wk), 6 Washington Sundar, 7 Shashank Singh, 8 Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 9 Umran Malik, 10 Marco Jansen, 11 T Natarajan.
