All England Open 2026: Preview, Indians In Action, Schedule, Telecast & Live Streaming Info

A brand new edition of the world's oldest badminton tournament, the All England Open, returns, with the world's best shuttlers competing in Birmingham for six days of top-level badminton action. The tournament is taking place at the Utilita Arena Birmingham, King Edwards Road.

The BWF Super 1000 tournament will start with the first round matches on Tuesday (March 3) and Wednesday (March 4) followed by the second round, quarter-final and semi-final on the subsequent days before the all important final on Saturday (March 8).

So far only two Indians have won the All England Open since it started in 1899. Only Pullela Gopichand (2001) and Prakash Padukone (1980) have won the title at the All England Open so far with both the greats of the Indian badminton winning the men's singles competition.

One of the major misses for India this time is the absence of PV Sindhu who could not travel for the All England Championships due to the conflict in the middle-east.

Satwik-Chirag pair is the only Indians to be seeded at the All England Open Badminton Championships 2025, where the likes of Shi Yu Qi, Kunlavut Vitidsarn and Anders Antonsen will be among the top seeds to participate in the tournament.
